How to Add a SubBudget

You can set up budgets at two levels: project budgets and sub-budgets. You can set up sub-budgets following the steps below:

Step 1: Create a Parent Budget

Step 2: Click "+ Add SubBudget" at the top right corner

Step 3: Set the fields

• Icon (Optional)

• Budget Name (Required)

• Amount (Required, Either one of the following):

  • Fixed amount

  • Percentage of the Parent Budget amount

For example, choose between a fixed amount or proportional distribution. For a $2,400 project budget, you can allocate 20% to food ($480) and 5% to transportation ($120). Adjusting the project budget will dynamically update category budgets proportionally.

• Budget Alert (Optional): Set alerts for the SubBudget to trigger when spending reaches a certain percentage. This will also display a white line on the budget bar at the corresponding percentage.
